Tagus River Cruise
Two hours on the river as the light goes - past Praça do Comércio, under the 25 de Abril bridge and back with the city lighting up behind you.
Lisbon was built to be seen from the water, and this is the hour to do it. The sailing takes the wide reach of the Tagus below the Baixa, runs down past Belém and turns under the 25 de Abril bridge with the Cristo Rei on the far bank.
The boat is small enough to move around on. Sunset over the estuary lasts a long time here, and the whole west-facing city turns the colour of the tiles.
